bringer of water, quencher of thirst.
the rain drifts down around me.
neither hurried or rushed, just steady.
a mist growing on my hair.
and the flowers are growing
at exponential rates.
shooting up with each drop drunk.
yes, drunk with the glee of sun and light...
...breaking through the rain,
giver of life, lighter of the way.
a reminder to give thanks
in praise of the rain.
